We were walking in the historic center and came across João who welcomed us with a smile and explained the great value lunch on offer at €10 Euros for 3 courses and €5 for half a litre of house wine. What wendyanddavid536 doesn't like about Romana:
After an extremely tiring day, we just fell into Romana for a quick cheap evening meal. Admittedly it was cheap, but portion size was small, quality of ingredients poor. Service was friendly, but did not make up for the poor food View all feedback.
Tends to be busy so booked day before. The fish is fresh and a good choice available. Seating indoors and outdoors but it’s on busy cobbled road so cars and taxis do frequently pass by which can be a nuisance. Having said that would return but inside table.

Great place to enjoy an inexpensive meal while people watching in the beautiful location. Very friendly team.
Pretty good 10 euro menu. The portions size was nice, you won't leave hungry. Wine glasses and coffee were a bit pricey, but not too much. Paid around 31eur for 2 people.
We visited this restaurant twice. First time it was good but second time my wife found live 2cm caterpillar in salad in main meal. It ruined dinner for us. They offered only free drink for her. On the other side, staff was friendly and prices are good.
