For mains June... read more We saw restaurant down the hill and thought it looked good. For starters we shared Salt and Pepper Chicken with Prawn Toast which was very nice. For mains June had squid with boil rice I had sizzling chicken with spicy black bean sauce delicious. While the restaurant was very quiet there was a 5 and a 2 in as well as ourselves the food was great and we had a nice evening

Exc... read more We went just as a couple first time and had Spare ribs to share as a starter, Chicken in black bean sauce and Duck as main courses. Ice cream to finish off. Excellent meal and service. The second time we went with another couple and the service and meal was excellent. We had the set meal for 2 38 euros. Far to much food for the 4 of us good variety nicely cooked. We did order 2 set meals but one would have done for us. You could take out the left over food as a takeaway but we declined. Fried ice cream was something new. Excellent value.

I want to come back to Funchal just for this food! Though there was one male waiter that appeared rude, but waitresses were really nice and helpful!
