You can save time by booking tickets online but the mobile signal can be so poor at the top station that you need to make sure that you have saved the PDF. Reasonable value if buyin a return ticket.

Did not have the first few items we tried to order... so had to take what they did have, which included grated pumpkin in a cheese toasted sandwich (it was definitely different) Busy cafe, service is not organised and hap hazard but the staff seemed pleasant enough.

It was a busy day and quite a few customers were settling for 2nd choices as menu items were not available. Empty fridges did not inspire either. Perhaps everything sells out very quickly? Or, with a semi captive clientele they don't need to try too hard? Definitely something of a tourist trap but probably to be expected at this location when hot tired tourists need somewhere to rest up or take in the view. But up the hill and down are other places to eat this is not the solitary watering hole. This cafe is located under the cable car station so the noise from the mechanical system should be expected. I quite liked that aspect ;
