My way of eating can be hard to maintain while traveling. While researching for restaurants in Funchal that meet my diet I found this one, and I had great expectations for a hit meal here. So I was quite disappointed when I went there today and asked the staff in the cafeteria if any of the dishes were gluten-free and vegan. Unfortunately, not a single one met these requirements. The one star is for the staff knowing the soy sauce contains gluten.

The soup c... read more The soup of the day, when we were there, was Barley Soup. It was 100% vegan and it tasted very nice. The rest of the menu was essentially vegetarian. The soup cost €3.25, so good enough value. The restaurant is in the basement by the way. The staff don’t speak English also.
