We ended up going there 3 times during our week stay in Funchal and especially out last evening meal. Great family run restaurant with superb staff, food and prices. A complimentary glass of Madeira after the meal. Totally recommended.

I got the vegetarian Ravioli, they were lukewarm and dried at the edges, after finishing my plate I noticed a worm in the remaining sauce. Fair to say I was disgusted. Even tho I usually never complain, I had to tell the waiter, who without a word took my plate to the kitchen, only to come back and offer me a free desert no thank you . We had to pay for the entire meal and left. I threw up an hour later. Never !! again.

We went back for the pizza, which I would not recommend, as we had much better pizza elsewhere. The staff were very nice and friendly.

The fries seem to be self-made, which is always a huge plus point in my book. All the waiters were nice, attentive, welcoming and just overall very charming people. If I ever come back to Madeira, I know where to go now for some good food ;
