Fulshear used to be a sleepy little community, now more than 25,000 people call it home. This huge influx of people could be because of Dozier's. Seriously they serve some geat barbeque and chicken. Had a meat meal of half a chicken with two sides, a german potato salad and baked beans. Other meal was barbeque tips and an egg potato salad. The fountain drinks are Texas made and use cane sugar. This is a must stop. View all feedback.

I love this place. The food and the service are amazing everytime I come. I live right down the rd and come here often. I wanted to bring my parents in to show them my favorite bbq place. As usual everything was amazing….except one little issue. One of the ladies in the back was dropping F-bombs like we were in Hiroshima. Not just the f-word but cursing nonstop. One of the best brisket (lean) I have tried!!! It’s unique flavor. It’s an hour from me but I happen to be in the area for work but it’s so worth the drive!
I have been going to Dozier's since 1985 and always found the hour drive to be more than worth it. Unfortunately though, my last couple of experiences have been very disappointing. Yesterday, the customer service by the 3 ladies serving the food was absolutely terrible. My wife and I had just come from a funeral and were dressed in Sunday clothes. The one particular lady who had a nose ring and tattoos was rude and stared at us the entire time we ate our food. The ribs were dry and the chopped beef sandwich was watery. The entire atmosphere was so much different than what we used to enjoy. I know old man Dozier would not be happy if he saw how his employees were behaving. I do hope the owners or management can address the customer service and drop in quality of the food because it really is a landmark place we have loved for so many years.
I curse too, but I also believe there is a time and place for that kind of thing and at a work place in front of paying customers isn’t one of them. Myself and my parents had a hard time ignoring the loud obnoxious obscenities while we ate our pullled pork, sausage, and brisket. I was embarrassed and disappointed when I left.
My second time to eat here since they switched owners. I had the brisket sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. The bun was excellent and the brisket was thick and tender. The young boys on the service line, meat cutters, were very attentive and polite as well as the young lady cashier. it was good.I'm editing my review because I spoke with some folks who said they got a new pit boss, 2 weeks ago. I could easily tell the difference in the BBQ and he certainly made a good brisket. I'll be back 4 sure!
My wife and I first time here. Found them through an upcoming burger challenge post on Facebook. They are a competitor in it. Apparently, they only do burgers on Friday so we decided to split a three meat plate. We got moist and lean brisket with sausage and a side of coleslaw and green beans. We also got two iced teas. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The food was good. The sausage came with an unusual mustard that I had to ask about. It is made with tumeric, mustard, paprika and vinger...it tasted good. They also have a meat market...which was nice. I bought some venison sausage and a pepper salami...both look yummy. I am sure we will be back.BTW the burger is only Fridays and the sell out fast...usually in a few hours.
