It’s way too expensive for the quality. The duck was overly salted was told “yeah sometimes it comes out that way”, the pork chop was undercooked was told “the information about undercooked pork chops making you sick was proven a myth according to our chefs”, and service was so slow we ended up staying there over hours mostly waiting on our server. Needless to say we won’t be returning View all feedback.

We had reservations for after dinner which was at the sister restaurant to Hidalgo’s and I purposely made reservations at the cellar because of the proximity distance from dinner and what I thought would be accommodating to a decent group size, we had a party of but changed it to where I expressed they could take the table if they needed it. Once in the courtyard, the restaurant is located at the northwest end and down carpeted stairs with overhead music. The restaurant has a cave like feel. Cozy and romantic. We went on a Monday night. The restaurant was busy but we were not rushed to clear out. Weekends may be different. We ordered Chateaubriand, which was delicious. They serve interesting craft cocktails. Service was okay. Evening was relaxing and enjoyable
Must stop if you are in the area. Wonderful place, friendly people.
Food is actually good. Ambience is cool. Crab cake not bad. Beef tartar needs some seasoning or salt. Maybe a bit more fat too. The cocktails with almond in them are magical. Filet mignon was perfectly cooked, tender, free of gristles. Escargot was a bit too salty, but nice. Caesar salad wasn’t dried completely of water, but the dressing was decently coated. Duck was nice.
Particularly look for their happy hour from 4-6 pm. It's more bar-oriented but cheap and premium nonetheless. Great deals on steak sandwiches, mac, and lobster bisque. (It's dark because it's a cellar DUH)
Out with a group of 8 and had fantastic service from Jasmine and Jason! Everything is delicious! I was going for the lobster bisque because I knew it was wonderful but also enjoyed the short ribs! I couldn't stop eating them!! Tender, moist, flavorful! We tried a couple of appetizers and several desserts and everything was a hit! Thanks for a great night out!
