What Maximus Collins doesn't like about Arkaba Hotel - Lounge & Bistro:
Ejected from the venue for no reason. I attended a good friends 18th birthday celebrations here, i was inside the venue for 20 minutes until i felt a tight and firm grip around my throat. I thought it was just one of my mates having a laugh, but i turned around to see the manager dragging me out. I was so shocked i had no idea what to do. Caught up with family from the bush down for a soccer carnival. Hungry young adults so pub food is it! I had the beef burger - staple meal at a pub really - and this didn't disappoint. A bit hard to eat, good size patty, generous bacon. Nice balance with the cheese and beetroot aioli. The accompanying chips were soft with a textured outer, and not too many. Decor comfortable and staff friendly.
Came here for my partners work function tonight. We went to the Sporty bar, rather than the dining room.We both ordered the Beef Schnitzel, with chips and coleslaw.Full Schnitzel was $21 and a half was $17.Tasted fine, with the exception of the schnitty being a bit soggy, due to the gravy. Would have been better to provide the gravy in it's own pot, to be added by the customer.Other than that, the service was pretty quick and friendly and the hotel itself is well laid out and comfortable.Would be happy to return.
Food seemed to be overpriced and when we couldn't eat the pork dish that was ordered due to an odd taste and it being dry, we were offered a dessert as compensation. Not entirely impressed
