this was a definitiw one of the best experiences of my month-long adventure by japan. the yatai culture in fukuoka is sensational and I have stood at the end of beer, tasty eating and laughing with natives on this fantastic. I also need to make a photo with mamichan myself! it's amazing to see how much is happening behind this little stall. I enjoyed the ochsenzunge and some of the best noodles I've ever had. the atm... Delicious yatai experience, mano-tofu was delicious and omelette mentaiko also! friendly staff and customers beside me was also very friendly
This place is great. I actually wait at the yatai next door, but the line was long so I came over to the mamichan. the obasan was super inviting. I sat with two other girls and we shared that so we can try everything. next to us were a high school / college student who seemed to know that her father sounded like a super place. I was the one-seier at the stand glad on which I was! gyoza was amazing and super soft, mentaiko tamago was also a revalation!
Absolutely loved the whole family Mami chan who is such a Jack! her hubbie who is usually behind the fridge, probably casting spells at food, doing all that magic that makes food so incredibly good, and Anchan! the guy who gives yet another wavy undertone to that lovely warmth filled place with his relaxed and spontaneous presence . So far I tried yakiramen, gyoza, yakionigiri and oden, and Im coming back for more, till I try everything from the menu! In Serbia we say: Love from the Belly or Ljubav iz Stomaka Check!
Not the easiest place to find and its misleadingly named ramen restaurant. Mami Chan is a fantastic host always welcoming and eagar to please with her cooking. the place only seats around a dozen people so it can be a bit cramped (tip 1 don't come with your shopping and there can be a bit of a wait but the food is worth it and the other eaters are super friendly (the gentleman next to us offered a bite of his uneaten yakisoba while we were waiting for our dish! . it's amazing what mami-chan and her partner can do in such a small place. tip 2 order things one dish at a time. finish what you have in front of you then order again it's not a sprint (we made the mistake of ordering everything at the same time . when we finished mami-chan even came out to bid us good bye and give us a hug. you really can't beat hospitality like that.
Best yatai in Hakata!!! We were greeted with a very warm welcome and the food tasted absolutely delicious
