Non-vegetarians, not to be deducted. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, and yet loved lily valley vegetables and enjoyed the muffins (I decided to make green tea, nuts and cinnamon). a note to the diabetics out there: when I told the chef that I am not able to eat big doses sugar, the staff was fast to inform me about the ingredients. some of the muffins contain brown sugar, others contain but dates or maple syrup. the personal even offered to reduce the brown sugar content in a sauce for me. they were very accommodating. I love this place and felt at home. I would spend time noodles there if I only lived in japan. beautiful caffe! updated by the previous review on 2018-08-03
Went for afternoon tea aka coffee and cafe, wasn't disappointed. Owner says the lunch menu is vegan, veg and meat, only their sweets are all vegan.
Eat is nice and all fresh made, a bit expensive, but quite delicious. large selection of vegan muffins.
Read more in this vegan Fukuoka guide: [hidden link]. despite its small vegan offer, lily valley convinces with high quality food. this veggie sandwich is delicious. veggies include avo, aubergines, carrots and more, all perfectly cooked. the focaccia bread is roasted and the tahini sauce is rich and aromatic. it is scary to eat because of the great size, but the aromen are great. the vegan parfait is also great. the grapes are boiled in red wine and there are crispy granola below. since there is only one person (owner) in the caffe on this day, the service might be a little slow. so much time when they have to. they also sell other vegan desserts and snacks like these cookies and toasts. please check their facebook before they have irregular rest days per month.
I love their muffins! they often turn around the aromes, so come back and have another look is definitely worth it. also had her older limonade once, which was refreshing and tasty. they offer some non-vegan food, but the personal is well informed and can show them in the right direction of the menu.
