beautiful small restaurant in kawaguchi. the decoration is beautiful with lots of money billet from foreign customers. we also left Vietnamese billet there. a waitress is French and went for a year to japan to discover. we discussed a lot about their journey and I really admired them. If they are at the lake kawaguchi (near mt fuji), then they must visit high spirits izakaya! a small inconceivable izakaya, high spirits has a cozy ambiente, fun and passionate staff (and great service,) beautiful and ingenious delicious food, all combined to them the perfect relaxed local izakaya vibes! we had the fresh sashimi, bark steak, bark meat Japanese radishes, grilled otopus, sawn sauce seafood with baguette slices. and the list goes on. you get the drift!
Beautiful bar, great eating, great beer with two AMAZING owners. a note to them both to say thank you for their help in the planning of my last few days around kawaguchiko! for everyone who read I came with little to no plan, and the couple who owns the cash helped me by initially doing a lot of time to a buck of places where events have been canceled due to covid, and then suggesting a lot of great wandering and secuing around. 150% recommend! 2. picture is one of the great places I could see, only until the actual thing I have called here.
Easily one of the best meals we have had in a while. Highly recommended! They have an English menu and the owner speaks perfect English so no problems for tourists at all. Reservations recommended as it's a small outfit.
No doubt why this place ranks #1 on Trip Adviser! It’s a small cosy place run by only 1 guy who returned to Japan from the US. Food was great, some taste like Japanese home cooking, eg we tried his braised pork it was so good! You will be surprised how 1 guy can run a menu with quite some selection!
