First visited Pata Rusa 7 years ago not long after they opened. The food was good and the hosts welcoming. Now, 7 years later, I still go and see them. Elena and Oscar have become good friends. Food now is excellent and the atmosphere warm...and comfortable they are like family. My next visit will be in a couple of weeks time Christmas lunch. This place is disgusting. We were the only people in there. There were no fish in the fish display unit so we did not order fish. We ordered steak which was full of sinews, old mushrooms and frozen chips. It took ages to arrive. The...chef turned up the volume on the tv so that he could hear it in the kitchen. It was blasting. I was in pata rusa at server events in recent years, especially because I have always found the food really good. this time was not an exception, pata rusa is a small family-run restaurant along the pedestrian zone of los boliches. The...Menu selection isn't big (although sometimes it can be a blessing) and I usually have fish or seafood when I visit. this time I chose the seafood soup, which was excellent and beautifully presented, followed by the red snaps and prawns pil which was also really good and still sizzling as it should be to my table. it is worth noting that pata rusa also sells a lot of cocktails, although I had never tried them from here. all in all, pata rusa is a simple, traditional Spanish restaurant that does not lift the expectations of people. it serves relatiw simple dishes well cooked. they offer a friendly to the earth service and do not tear them off, they also do a medium paella.
Great service, food and hospitality. the location was just a short walk from the paseo near other restaurants on a dome road that gave it a beautiful Spanish vibe.
