Highly recommended by our hosts and it did not disappoint . Sylvia provided excellent service. The pasta entree was fresh and homemade and tasty. the selection of meat was perfect with the guinea fowl being the standout. Wine very good and reasonably priced. Worth a visit and frequented mostly by the locals which is good sign
Do not be put off by the plain hotel exterior, this is an excellent place to eat. We have only had lunch at Hotel Daino, but on both Sundays, the restaurant was quite full, mainly of Italian family parties celebrating with a lunch. The cannelloni was different to any I have eaten in the UK and absolutely delicious. We would thoroughly recommend the roast meats, especially the coniglio and the capretto. Service was very good without being intrusive. Exceptional value.
The food was delicious and expertly prepared. Fresh pasta that was perfect. Save room for the dessert. Sylvia helped us choose from the menu and specials and her service was top notch. Great experience from start to finish.
On our visit to Le Marche three years ago we were advised to try Il Daino by the hosts of our accommodations at San Cristoforo, near Cagli. We tried it, and liked it so much that we returned for a second meal a few days later. Last night we ate again at Il Daino, and could not have been more pleased by the friendly service, excellent food and reasonable prices. One of us had coniglio alla porchetta (rabbit stuffed with wild fennel), and the other, roasted Cornish game hen. Both dishes were delicious, complemented by cooked vegetables from the hotel garden, and insalata mista. For desert, a lovely sem-ifreddo with chocolate sauce. Il Daino remains our favorite restaurant in the vicinity of Cagl.
This restaurant was recommended to us, as their favorite restaurant in the region, by two friends who have lived in the region for 25 years, and it exceeded every expectation. Our lunch was was one of the two best meals (equal first! we had in two weeks of consistently wonderful meals throughout the Les Marches region. The seating outside and the delightful service were two big additional pluses. The kid was possibly the most delicious meat I have ever tasted; and all the other dishes were fabulous also.
