Shadows Grill - Front Royal

Shadows organized a solemn lunch on their terrace for a group of boys and men who had completed a 115-mile hike on the Appalachian Trail. Brian was great to coordinate the menu and meet the needs of our group. He was flexible and let us change the menu to better serve our group. Kim was our main host. They and their colleagues were very pleasant and helpful. Kim gave all the boys candy that were not planned, but it was very thoughtful. We did the home town of Barbecue with pulled pigs sandwiches with two sauce options; BBQ chicken leg quarter; sown green salad; Pasta salad; baked beans; Cookies and unlimited soft drinks, tea, lemonade and coffee. I would highly recommend Shadows, Brian and Kim.

No, the atmosphere is not from the usual, but they plan a redesign for the interior together with investments in outdoor deck dunes. And let me say I'm originally from the east coast where you can find the best food and I have to mention the 8oz burger with Swiss cheese and sewn onions is right up there with the best. Oh, and by the way, Brian (the manager) will ask the cook to make special orders if possible.

The view is beautiful over the gold course and the staff is so friendly what a very relaxing atmosphere. Some kind of bummer they were released from the BBQ (only reason it is not 5* . Hopefully they bring it back or update the online menu :
