Double Diamond
Description
**A Dining Experience at Double Diamond Restaurant: A Mixed Bag**
Nestled at the base of Copper Mountain, the Double Diamond Restaurant offers a unique blend of hospitality and culinary delights. Guests have praised the owner’s warm welcome and the stunning mountain views, highlighting the exceptional ribs and smoked trout on the menu. However, some visitors faced disappointment from uncommunicative service regarding private events, leading to feelings of being unwelcome and urged to leave. Despite these mixed experiences, the establishment's dedication to personal service and fresh, affordable food remains evident. For those in search of a true slopeside ambiance, the Double Diamond might still be worth a visit.

We looked the place up, said it was open until 9. We spent some time getting there just to find out locked up tight, not a light on. Disappointing to say the least.
*update: I wrote the business owner an email detailing the same things I said here, hoping it would bring some light and help improve the quality of interactions and food. I mentioned that unfortunately I had to write a review about my experience. Shortly after, a yelp review showed up from an account with only one review (the one for this restaurant) and only negatively responding to my review. I returned the spoon to the restaurant, and the bartender gentleman was there. I heard him say his name to a couple at the bar. His name is the same name as the owner's name. When I told him I returned the spoon to his waitress, he knew my name and said it, which is not something we talked about during my visit. The person who my email went to was the owner and my name was included there. Sadly, this has only gotten worse. Sorry yelpers. : I wish I could give better feedback.
Great place to eat. It was in the same building as the room we were staying in (Foxpine Inn), and it was getting late, so we decided to eat here. Owner went around and greeted all the tables (even though the place was mostly empty; only about 3 other groups there). Food was great, especially the ribs. However, they don't have much meat on them. Selection of beers is good. If you're staying in East Village and conflicting on what to eat, this is a great place to choose.
This place must not want business, he told be he wouldn't accept a debit card unless i bought $20 worth of beer. He acted like it was an insult to him. He missed out on a lot of business this week.
