We'll never put a foot in this place again. My son and I wanted to eat there and we said all the tables were reserved. But just before us was a family and they were told that they could choose between different tables. Half the tables outside the restaurant were empty and only two tables were made inside the square. Try to avoid this restaurant as there are much better places in the city with friendly owners. View all feedback.

Amazing evening (Sunday) we weren't sure that anywhere would be open! Off the main Hugenotten Strasse in a small courtyard; we found locals (always a good sign) eating and drinking under trees and canopies at small tables. The Italian waiter who spoke excellent German and not bad English was extremely hospitable and friendly but not overbearing. It amused me to see him sit at different tables when it was their turn to pay. Like old friends they went through what they had eaten and had a good chat at the same time. All extremely relaxing. Not only that but the food was excellent; A tomato and mozzarella salad for me and a rocket and parmesan salad for him; Still not sure which was the best!!! Followed by wiener schnitzel two huge pieces each and excellently cooked; melted in the mouth! Dessert a bit disappointing but that seems to be the status quo in Friedrichsdorf; excellent places for starters and mains, but little in the way of desserts, or brilliant bakeries with cakes and ices to die for...
