The waitress was apologetic and comped the appetizer which was appreciated.

We love Downriggers and is our go-to dining option when boating over from Anacortes. I know they were busy tonight, but the wait times were very unusual. Waited... read more We love Downriggers and is our go-to dining option when boating over from Anacortes. I know they were busy tonight, but the wait times were very unusual. Waited a long time for someone to come take our beverage order, then waited an eternity for beverages to arrive. Our wait person even stopped by once to apologize for long wait an assured us our ticket was next. When drinks came, we order dinner . . . waited some more a finally the salad arrived. Then, before we were 3 bites into the salad the entre arrived . . . too soon . . . now a challenge to find space on the table for everything . . . bread, salad, beverages, water, entrees, etc. Our wait person was very nice, the pace of service left a lot to be desired. Food was great, as always.

It... read more The hostess at Downriggers was unfriendly and impolite. She did not greet us and simply informed us that there were no tables available before walking away. It was clear that she did not value our patronage. As a result of this poor experience, we have no intention of returning to Downriggers in the future.
