I have been here many times and they have consistently been excellent, even before they had a separate vegan menu. Have always been able to do a vegan banquet, even when I have been the only vegan at the table. On numerous occasions they kitchen have made vegan dishes that weren’t even on the menu for us. Would give 5 stars if I could. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Dancing Daikon:
The restaurant, formerly known as Hispanic Mechanic, has rebranded itself as Dancing Daikon. Despite the name change, it is essentially the same restaurant with a separate kitchen dedicated to vegan dishes. While the neighboring customers may still order meat, dairy, and eggs, there is a separate vegan menu and kitchen area. The kids smashed their corn on the cob with nooch and Mayo. They had lots of options at vegan palooza. Including a soup, an empanada and a few other things
Awesome to have a whole section of the menu to choose from. Food is incredible. A more high end modern mexican option. Cool venue as well.
This is my favourite Mexican Korean Fusion restaurant bar none. The vegan menu is extensive with delightfully flavoursome food. And the service is always friendly and excellent. How lucky are we considerate of them to have a separate vegan kitchen, a brilliantly executed idea that is greatly appreciated. The KFC Korean Fried Cauliflower is absolutely incredible… do yourself a favour and order it. And then do yourself another flavour and order some more. And maybe one more for the road... hot dang it’s amazing. We’ve tried the whole menu and then some. Stunning flavours and always a real treat. The only thing that seems out of place is the Burger… I guess it appeals to someone wanting a safe option and for that it works . Very nice but better and more interesting Mexican Korean options to explore. Ps contrary to another review on here the name is not confusing at all. The restaurant is called Hispanic Mechanic, their vegan kitchen is called Dancing Daikon. Easy. Now go there. Updated from previous review on 2022-01-22
Something for everyone here, very accommodating staff. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and even options for those not into spice.
A wonderful place to eat (menu somewhat reduced through Covi-19)
