This aparthotel, located in the very heart of the old yet beautifully preserved town of Freudenberg, is a wonderful example of how modern elegance can be seamlessly blended with tradition. The historic half-timbered Fachwerkhaus has stood for centuries, welcoming travelers with its timeless charm while offering all the comforts of contemporary living. We had the opportunity to visit this charming town and spent a night at the hotel, which made our stay even more memorable. The interior is newly renovated and tastefully designed, and our room was very well furnished. It offered everything one might need for a comfortable stay. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. A pleasant continental breakfast was provided, and guests can enjoy complimentary coffee from the coffee machine. I also appreciated the historical photographs displayed in the dining area, which share a bit of the hotel’s story and add to its unique character. I would definitely recommend this aparthotel to anyone visiting the area.
There had been a fire in the kitchen of our hotel on the Marktstrasse, so we were advised to come here for a late-evening meal. Despite the late hour, the staff were most accommodating and made an extra effort to serve warm food, all of which was delicious. The restaurant is situated in a part of Freudenberg known as the Fleck or Alter Fleck , celebrated for its half-timbered houses and slate-tiled walls. Although the proprietor is still Peter Dörner, it has been renamed (or is also known as) the Flecker Kaffeehaus ; I would therefore imagine also to be a great place for morning coffee or lunch.
