Elbow Room Grill - Fresno

This is one of the best places I was. greg is the best waiter I met. everything that it is just delicious!

The elbow room is a old classic in Fresno. I enjoyed their evening entertainment which consisted of a live band on the patio. On this evening, we were celebrating the birthday of a friend. I enjoyed the calamari appetizer along with Thai chicken salad. The calamari appetizer is huge! There is enough that this could be considered a meal. I then ordered the Thai chicken salad which I was unable to finish. The spicy sweet peanut sauce was very delightful but not overwhelming. The chicken came grilled on top of the salad which was as expected. Overall, I must say the food here is very good and I will definitely need to come back to try more items on their menu.

Very good spot to entertain or bring out of town guests for a good meal. The parking situation is not bad, with a large lot for many different businesses. The atmosphere feels like a sports bar with upscale food and prices. Because of this, it is quite loud so don’t choose this place for an intimate romantic dinner if that’s going to bother you. There is a large drink menu, but I would have preferred a few more beer options, especially considering the enormous wine and cocktail list. I ordered a burger, but the group with me had steaks and a salmon salad. All of the food looked amazing and was cooked to order. The service was great and they were all very attentive. This is not a cheap dinner and you should be prepared to drop some cash here for the experience. Great food and I’d come back!

If you love steaks, this is the place to go for prime rib. The prime rib was thick, soft, and cooked just the way I liked it. Cutting it was like cutting into butter and was very flavorful and with very little salt(not like other places that oversalt their food). The mashed potatoes were creamy and melted in my mouth. The asparagus was the right crispness and had good flavor. The only downside was the waitress. She was eager to get us out of there and handed the menu while I was still eating and didn't offer us dessert. She even tried to rush the other Mexicans at the other table. I hope this is not what this restaurant stands for because I would really hate for them to be closed down or be boycotted. I did let the hostess know of the situation, at least. I hope this doesn't happen again to me or others. UPDATE: upon my review of this place from the reviews of others and my experience, this is not a friendly place for service dogs or other races that are not their own. Food can be the greatest it can be, but service is key. I will not be coming back again and hope others don't as well.

Very happy to have happened on this fantastic facility. that is by far one of the most welcoming institutions I have ever dedicated. the service was excellent! and the food was absolutely delicious! I hope we have the opportunity again sometime.
