I always came here with my family to get dosas before I was vegan. the vegan menu is smaller because they use ghee in many dressed, they just need to ask what is vegan (or without milk). according to the waiter, the masala dosa and normal size ilis vegan are what my mother and I ordered on the other day. wish that they will be marked clearly on the menu. there are vegan options, but they are not so marked on the menu, and there is no special menu. I had to ask what is not a big son of a ****! the masala dosa was good, but not as tasteful as my fave Indian restaurant in berkeley (viks). they did not bring my friend to the ordered chai, although he was not busy. This is a great spot for dosa with friendly service. We ordered a plain dosa and a Mysore masala dosa.
This is the best Thali I have ever tried (although as a white person, my experience may be limited). The service was friendly, although they did forget our drinks. They quickly brought them out when we asked. The dosas were huge and delicious. The Thali had a great variety and the bread was fresh and fluffy. I left feeling very satisfied with the reasonable prices.
I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic South Indian cuisine. The food is of great quality and the portion sizes are sufficient. I ordered the combo plate, which came with a variety of sides including a mini dosa that was just as big as a regular dosa. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Hands down the place to go for authentic South Indian food. We had a Mysore Masala Dosa, Butter Masala Dosa and an Executive South Indian Thali for the three of us. And lo and the dosas were so big, we ended up leaving some of it. Get a Mysore Masala Dosa instead of others since that’s the only one that gets the red chutney applied to the dosa. The Thali was one of the finest, just go for it. Definitely recommended
Great food! Loved the service and the taste! I had Tomato onion chilli uttapam.
