What User doesn't like about Saattvik Indian Dhaba:
I appreciate finding a vegetarian restaurant. However, prices are higher than on their website. In addition, I was not informed that I was $3 extra for a second article in thali – that is overpriced and not revealed in the menu. The Thali itself had more rice than curry, so the value for the given food is not worth. Updated by previous review on 2022-10-02 View all feedback.
The curries at this restaurant change daily, so I make it a point to call ahead and check which vegan options are available before I visit. I've never found fewer than two delicious choices on any given day, and they often have fresh samosas as well. The parathas are fantastic, quite large and satisfying. Their standard vegan thali and other menu items offer excellent value, especially if you stick to the curries. However, be aware that they have a fairly high markup on paneer and Indo-Chinese dishes. I wouldn't recommend the soy chaap—it's not worth the extra cost. If you're looking for soy-based mock meat, it's better to go to an Asian restaurant. On the bright side, the Gobi Manchurian is good, so it's worth trying at least once if you come across it.
I ordered for pickup but decided to eat in instead. The atmosphere is simple, but the food is quick and delicious.
Went with my vegan friend and we both enjoyed delicious Indian food. She had vegan dal curry with Alu palak and it was very good.we tried pani puri stall as well fresh samosas. Roti was so fresh. I tried their moong dal halwa and it was so good.they change their menu items everyday.
I’m glad to have discovered a vegetarian restaurant, but I was disappointed to find that the prices for the thali are higher than what is listed on their website. Additionally, I was not informed that there would be an extra charge of $3 for a second paneer item in the thali, which feels excessive and wasn't clearly disclosed on the menu. Furthermore, the thali had more rice than curry, making it feel like poor value for the food provided. This is an update from my previous review on October 2, 2022.
Awesome Indian food with some vegan options, just ask. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and had a great conversation with another patron.
