Just changed ownership so now it's pretty much just a restaurant. No more grocery business. I think you can still get already prepared rolls and sushi but I went late dinner time and they didn't have anything in the case. You can still order anything on the menu though. I had the Alaska Roll which was crab meat inside with salmon outside. Pretty tasty and it seemed fresh. I hope they do well but their location is a c... View all feedback.
What Heather I doesn't like about Osaka Pop Up Store:
My family and I used to visit this restaurant all the time pre COVID. They converted it into a supermarket/food court style place instead. Food tasted ok I actually liked the tonkatsu because of its crunchiness. The restaurant serves the food in plastic containers and has pretty small portions with a pricey tab. The cashiers were very friendly though. The reason for the one star, besides the change of restaurant is b... View all feedback.
A hidden, unassuming sushi spot tucked away in the corners of the South Bay suburb that delivers on decent value and taste.Despite living around the area for years, I 've never tried Kiku as it 's tucked away behind a gas station in a very small strip of stores. Walking in, the interiors leaves much to be desired as furnishings are far from new or inviting. That being said, this place focuses on one that it 's sushi. We got takeout this time around but were not disappoint at all. I got the orange blossom roll and tuna roll; both met my expectations but certainly did not wow me. The provided ginger was not enough for my tastes, nor the soy sauce. Minor complaints though! The fish was fresh a welcome surprise after seeing the interior and complete lack of customers at 6pm (to be fair, it was a Wednesday night . Rice was a bit lacking in the traditional sushi rice flavor.I wouldn 't go out of my way for Kiku, but if I 'm around need a fill my sushi craving, I know where I 'm going :

The New Kiku Sushi is great even better food, portions, and value than before!! The amount of food we got for lunch was great. We had Bento boxes, sushi, and sashimi. They even gave us free Miso Soup and tea. The service was good and friendly. We will come again Happy they have new owners who have a desire to make a long time restaurant continue in the future. We are happy we tried them for lunch!!

The cashiers were very friendly though. The reason for the one star, besides the change of restaurant is because there were many gnats flying around! My family ate inside, and I think I smooshed at least 3 gnats flying around our food. My fiancé was grossed out because a fly came out of the soy sauce (it must have drowned in there). He didn't have much of an appetite after.
Stumbled upon this small Japanese market and was surprised there was also a restaurant inside! They have grab go sushi options but we decided to dine in. We ordered a cherry blossom roll, salmon nigiri and a Hawaiian roll. They gave us one roll on the house because they were missing macadamian nuts, sooo sweet of them and they truly didn't have to!! Fish quality was great as well. We'll be back to order one of the party trays soon :
