I highly recommend this restaurant! The food is very authentic and delicious. We tried the Hakka salt baked chicken, Hakka pan fried tofu filled with pork, fried crispy milk roll, and stir fried bark meat reel with oyster mushroom, and everything was really tasty. We arrived at 11:00 on a weekend morning and there were plenty of seats available. Most people seemed to be ordering the recommended dishes. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hakka Cuisine Kè Yǔ:
I was very excited to try this place but it didn't meet my expectations. Fried oyster mushroom which was too salty with too much breading. Hakka braised tofu's sauce was good but thought it could be better marinated. Clay pot garlic shrimp and eggplant smelled really good but for some reason the flavor didn't come out as well. I dined at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The chopsticks provided were too short and thin, making it difficult to eat. Other Asian restaurants typically have better quality chopsticks made of wood. I prefer using larger, sturdier plastic chopsticks, which are commonly found in top restaurants. I plan to buy my own set of plastic chopsticks and bring them with me next time I visit.
We tried the fried crispy pork darm, fried crispy milk roll, Hakka braised pork belly, Hakka lion meatball, Hakka Kaiser chicken with scallion sauce, Hakka pan-fried tofu, sweet stir-fried greens with garlic, pork and chicken soup, and an eel dish. The fried crispy pork darm was delicious and not greasy, while the fried crispy milk roll had a unique texture with a crispy exterior and creamy interior. The Hakka braised pork belly was a standout with amazing flavors and melt-in-your-mouth fatty parts. The delicate Hakka lion meatballs were flavorful and the pan-fried tofu was hot and tasty, served in a tangy sauce. The cold Kaiser chicken with scallion sauce was a favorite, combining perfectly cooked chicken with a flavorful sauce. The sweet stir-fried greens with garlic were delicious, cooked in pork fat for extra flavor. The pork and chicken soup was light and peppery, a nice contrast to the rich dishes we had ordered. The eel dish was also tasty, fried with green pepper, ginger, and garlic. Overall, I am already looking forward to returning to this restaurant as I write this review. I highly recommend trying a variety of dishes from their menu as everything we sampled was excellent.

They are my go-to place for over 5 years. Very good quality, healthy (much less salt and oil as compared to some other chinese/asian restaurants), and very reasonable price. Overall great place, would like to recommend.
The food here was great. I recommend trying the black pepper stomach soup in cold weather.
