A small, clean, nicely decorated, casual place. The menu is small and had Italian food as well, which seemed strange to me. We came for Ethiopian food and ordered the veggie platter and chicken tibs. The food was excellent! Nothing was wasted. I would like the injera portion size to be larger, but I'm glad it was gluten-free. I'd definitely come again. The only downside was that a wall blocks the view of who comes in... View all feedback.
What Arun Mirchandani doesn't like about Ephie Cuisine:
Place offers extremely small portions for a very high price so I am not going there again!I have been to lots and lots of Ethiopian restaurants but never seen such paltry portions even for someone who does not have a big appetite. For a $17 meat combo I literally have 2-3 teaspoons of the three meats and 1 table spoon of gommen, with three slender (1in) strips of injera rolled up in a small rectagular plate that woul... For a $17 meat combo I literally have 2-3 teaspoons of the three meats and 1 table spoon of gommen, with three slender (1in) strips of injera rolled up in a small rectagular plate that would be befitting for a starter/appetizer serving.Plus the food was served cold which is a no-no for me.Owners are very sweet and cordial and I wish them well but I am not returning.
Very good Ethiopian food at a nice price price. Their hours aren't accurate on yelp as of 03/06/23, check their website. I have had their Meat Combo as well as Veggie Combo and both are great. It seems they aren't too well known so I encourage everyone to give these guys some business!

The only downside was that a wall blocks the view of who comes in, so we were waiting to be seated for a little while because they didn't know we were there. Also there was only 1 person doing all the work (hosting, serving, bussing, and checking out), so service was friendly, but a little slow. Not too bad, but they should have a separate hostess at least. Even so, I recommend this place.
Discovered this hidden gem in Fremont. Literally hidden behind a big 7-11 store, tucked in between that and a Karate studio in the back. Went there for dinner, and ordered a meat combo and a veggie combo for 2 of us, served family style. It came in a traditional plate on a bed of injira bread with additional injira rolls on the side. All items were well prepared, ranging in spice levels from mild to medium. There is a limited selection of beers (bottles, not taps) and wines by the glass (one red, one white). Service was very attentive, without being overbearing. It 's a small place with a simple but clean ambiance, with African artwork on the walls. Would definitely go back for a repeat visit.
Exceptional, authentic Ethiopian restaurant. I LOVE the savory meat combo with greens. It is delicious. After eating it, you will feel great because the ingredients are fresh. The spices are delectable. The owner is wonderful and customer service 110%. Try EphieCuisine. You won't regret it.
