85c Bakery Cafe - Fremont

Nice place. and the pastry looks so delicious but the staff's are slow to get our drink.

I ordered just one Black Forest cake slice and I mentioned that I want to it ‘for here’. The cashier rings me up and lifts the slice with her fingers(without gloves) and places it on top of the counter for me to take it. This was so ridiculous! Never seen anything like this before and this place is even considered a premium bakery. When asked if this is how they serve customers, she mentions that they do not have plates to serve. They do have indoor seating and not have plates? She tried justifying saying that, I asked only for the cake slice so she gave me just that. Not sure how she expected me to take it and eat it like that. I even asked why she was touching food directly with her hands and she says that they wash their hands regularly. It’s not about how often she washes her hands, she is touching cash and the screen for billing while billing every customer too. Hope they train their staff to have basic common sense and hygiene while serving customers.

Reasonably priced, congenial staff and absolutely delicious treats. Loved the cafeteria style choices. The drinks were yummy, the individual choices of treats were varied and flavorful. I'm going back for the cakes, they looked delicious and smelled so good.

Just left. Have never had a problem before today. Staff were more concerned with their own conversation than helping customers. When I finally did get one of the young ladies to look over, she rolled her eyes and seemed bothered. I even asked her if she was okay to which she did not reply. I asked if there were more of a particular item, she said that what was out is all that is left. It 's 4:30pm and they close at 8. Seemed unlikely. I usually will try other items when something is out of stock, not today.

Too sweet and does not taste tea at all. Full of sugar, every time is hard to swallow , boba have been sitting in the container for a long time, it gotten very mushy. This my last time ordering any type of Milk Tea from them. Their employees should taste it and how horrible the drink is. When you’re buying their drinks, you’re paying for the quality of the price. This place have variety of Milk tea, tea, and smoothie at prices lower than other Boba Places. Last time I got their Jasmine Milk Tea had an bad experience, but boba was okay, this time getting their oolong milk tea was worst. It doesn’t seem like they make fresh Boba everyday or it is almost the end of the day before closing when the boba got mushy? It tasted as if it is a mochi dunked in water for a long time. This Rating is only for their Drinks. Their bread Variety, I only like their Hawaiian Chicken, nothing could go wrong with it. I have no complains about their breads. I just let it go since it is roughly $5 or less for the drink. I let the Ice melt, so it is not too sweet that could be painful swallowing. I hope 85C specific this location, understand after reading this review of your drinks. May consider re-make your recipe of ingredients. I tried so many places of Boba Milk Tea places, I thought Quickly’s was bad, this place is worst for Milk Tea drinks.
