What BettySwalls doesn't like about La Bastide du Clos des ROSES:
So we found this place that came with good reviews in the hope of able to do a vineyard tour or at least, have lunch at the restaurant. But we were greeted with arrogance and a firm no, we are full . Excuse my French, but it was 115pm and the restaurant looked VERY empty with the waiter looking sheepishly embarrassed behind the lying head waiter. Perhaps because we are non Europeans? After doing the very enjoyable vineyard tour and wine tasting on a Tuesday lunchtime we decided to stay for lunch. It's much more formal than the wine tasting and certainly more towards an upmarket dining experience. The menu was bought to us in the form of two giant chalkboards with a limited choice – I see this as a positive thing.
