This was our first and last time here. As we sat down, the old menu cards from previous guests were still on the table, and we had to take the cutlery from the next table. We both ordered a Cordon Bleu €21.90). During the meal, we asked for ketchup. When mine was empty, I asked again, to which the waitress asked if I was sure I needed more, even though I still had half my Cordon Bleu on my plate. The waitress then informed me that I hadn't finished all of my ketchup. In the end, we discovered that the ketchup was charged an extra €1.50, without any prior notice.
⸻ Solid budget stay with a foodie twist Clean, simple rooms — nothing fancy, but perfect for a night or two. Heads up: it’s a bit of a trek from the train if you’ve got bags (10€ taxi), and check-in’s only after 4pm with no real bag storage (we stashed ours in their closed beer garden, per their suggestion). The real gem? The restaurant. Dinner was the surprise highlight — my smoked fish salad special was fresh, flavorful, and just €19. Worth it for the meal alone. If you’re after good value, walkable access to the historic center (15 min), and hearty food without frills, this spot delivers.
A lovely place, you'll feel right at home. We celebrated a baptism, and everything was beautifully set. Tippy-to-tippy The roast pork was an explosion of flavors. Delicious
