Bei unserer Vorspeisen-Bestellung ging der sehr nette Chef auch auf unsere Sonderwünsche ein, die nicht auf der Karte waren. Wir probierten verschiedene Saç Variationen und waren sehr zufrieden. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl im Harem gefühlt und haben sehr gut gegessen.Eine Reservierung ist zumindest am Abend zu empfehlen.

Der Besitzer... read more Das Harem ist ein ausgezeichnetes türkisches Restaurant, das es in Freiburg inzwischen seit drei Jahrzehnten gibt. Das allein spricht schon Bände. Der Besitzer und sein Personal sind überaus freundlich und die Speisekarte bietet weit mehr als die meisten von der türkischen Küche kennen.Meine Favorites sind immer wieder die verschiedenen Sac, die es auch - in leicht abgespeckter Version - als günstige Mittagsmenüs gibt. Wer abends kommt, sollte sich am Lamm-Sac versuchen!Guten Appettit!

This cook (owner? has to learn that one of the must terrible thing that can happen to your customers is finding a hair in...your dinner! Later, the girl: O can be mine, because I 've that long black hair . Giggled and went away... Never again!

After a disaster at a neighbouring res... read more We had walked past this little restaurant a few times during our stay and weren't really struck on the look of the place. After a disaster at a neighbouring restaurant we decided to try eating here as it was getting late. It had been recommended...by our accommodation owners and it also featured in the Rough Guides book. Some of the staff speak English and they have English menu's which is a good touch, as trying to order Turkish food in German is pretty difficult! We ordered quickly and didn't have to wait long. The beers where nice and the food was authentic Turkish food which was full of flavour and at amazingly low prices! It did cross my mind that the owners put far more attention into their food than they do the decor of the restaurant. There was no rush for us to leave the restaurant as soon as we had eaten, We went to the bar to pay the bill. Don't walk past, Walk in, it's worth it!
