During a city walk or a shopping tour or simply because you are hungry, it is worth visiting the market hall. There are no vegetable and fruit stands, but about 20 – 22 market stands where international and regional dishes and specialties are offered. You can take the dishes/drinks or eat them on one of the many standing tables in the rear area. Or just enjoy a champagne at the champagne bar! It can be quite crowded here at noon. There is a little push ahead of all market stands. But this is always a good sign! The range of food and beverages is diverse: regional specialties, fish, flame-cake, Chinese, Indian, Afghan, Persian, Arabic, Mexican, Brazilian, wines, juices, soups, salads. Everyone can find something here. And everything looks fresh, tasty and seductive. And all at small prices! If you’re here for the first time, it’s worth taking a tour first to get to know about the offers and watch all the treats. Of course, it can happen that you can't decide at all because you want to try out everything unknown. At least this happened to us until we finally met before the Afghan market stand “Kabul”. Here we have bought the speciality “Mantu”, these are homemade dough bags, filled with beef and onions, along with garlic herbs and fine tomato sauce for 7.50 €. A plentiful portion that was soooo delicious! The dough thin, the beef chop filling very delicate, slightly spicy, also the spicy herbal sauce in combination with the tomato sauce also harmonized with each other and then together with the dough pockets! A joy for the palate! For a fast, inexpensive food with great selection and good quality only to recommend!
