Kreuzblume - Freiburg im Breisgau

So the hotel at the Crossflower is very small... I think it's not even 10 rooms... but the rooms are very nicely designed... the location was quite unhappy for us because we haven't found a parking lot for long... but then we forget that... because it really tastes great in the restaurant! At first I counted with typical German and rather old-fashioned grandma, but I was positively surprised when I saw the menu!

Hello. It was very strange that one stands in front of closed doors on the day of reservation. Apparently the host was sick. I would have expected the guests to be informed or at least a sign that is closed because of illness and that they are therefore apologised for the circumstances. Not like that.... We were lucky to have found a place in another very cozy restaurant. Not very recommended.

We were three for dinner and even as a vegetarian, we came to our expense, which is not always self-evident in restaurants. We had 1x menu and then 2x a la carte. The plates were the purest works of art already at the presentation at the table and also tastefully it was a great experience. The wines offered were our taste. It was a good and delicious evening. We like to come back.

Our first day in Freiburg got a conclusion thanks to the crossflower that broke on the tongue. The dishes and wine were a delight at the highest level.
