El Jimador is always good. It's simple, it's quick, it's cozy and friendly. The food is always hot and we'll served portions and I'm just in love with their enchilada gravy! This quick lunch grab is the perfect mouthful. I hope that it's around for a long time cause stopping here is an easy choice for decent food at a decent price and good service. View all feedback.
What Ron Morgan doesn't like about The Jimador Taqueria Y:
Food is decent, but it’s a dishonest restaurant/business they intentionally overcharge when ringing you up. Adds several dollars to each meal. Went back 2nd time to pay closer attention and they did it again. They don’t go by the prices on the menu they make up their own. I would stay clear. View all feedback.
My best memory of when I arrived in Freeport but this time nothing that ? I did not like but nothing none of the 3 dishes the empty place. The taste for nothing ? I'm sorry but it's the truth
Neighbor restaurant. Great prices fun and friendly staff and funky atmosphere. Didn't have first choice but second choice made up for disappointment and really cold beer. Will definitely return next fishing trip
Jimador on Velasco in Freeport. Wasn't planning on eating here but dropped off my Jeep at Miles Auto and walked here from across the street. According to my taste, and my mother's recipes, this is hands down the best Mexican food I've ever had outside of home. No wonder this place is full at lunch, packed with Hispanic workers from the nearby industrial shops. Plus I overheard someone say that even servers from another Mexican food restaurant nearby come here to eat. I also wasn't planning on leaving a review, but after taking a few bites of my cheese and picadillo chile rellenos, and the rice and refried beans, I had to take a picture and give my opinion. If you like delicious authentic Mexican food, this is it.Update: second try at the rellenos and just as good as the first.
Placed order over phone service slow food cooked in old Grease had to go home and make myself vomit. Stomach still missed u.
