In all ways a lovely experience. Sweet and controlled service. The food was a bit of heaven. Thus not expensive as everything was high quality. We got oven-baked cod and ribeye as well as coffee with petit four. Beautiful decor. The atmosphere was good and the atmosphere relaxed and so cozy. Really a gem!!! View all feedback.
What JBPurgerFrb doesn't like about Ewalds:
Third time of having dinner at Ewalds was not the best one. If you buy a wine pairing you normally expect the wine to accompany the food. We had to ask for the wine for our starter. The starter itself was supposed to be hot (or warm at last), but it was more cold that hot. The main dish was OK, though a bit small for a main dish. The dessert was (I am sorry to say) boring. We hope that it will be better next time. View all feedback.

Næsten det bedste sted vi har spist i København. Og vi har været mange steder! Det her skal man besøge! Mega lækkert og super hyggeligt sted! Priserne er gode og maden derefter! Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.
We visited a Thursday for early dinner before theatre visits. We got artichoke for starter and redungs with delicious accessories for the main dish and a bottle of Austrian Gruner Veltliner. It all was stepless and was served so we at appropriate time reached the theatre at Frederiksberg Alle.
The food is good with reasonably-sized portions. Beware of the bill, they will charge you twice for tap water.
Ewalds brings memories of sitting in a Bistro in Paris. Relaxed atmosphere, nice food and OK prices. I had the carpaccio (90 DKK) and the moules frites (169 DKK), both very good and portions are generous. Other guests had the steak s (bavette at 239 DKK) which was also fine. Service was very attentive and friendly. Recommended!
