The Hilltop Maritime Tavern

This is my second time at the Hilltop and the staff there is incredible, always friendly and accommodating. I was served about an hour before closing by Alicia (Alisha? and she regularly checked in on my table and was very friendly. The food was hot and very delicious! We were told it was a 45 minute wait but we definitely got served quickly regardless, much less than 45 minutes! I thank all the staff for making this a great experience.

Very good experience. We tried one of the beer tasters and it was nice. The food was good in terms of quantity and taste.

The steak was delicious, garlic mash was unreal, and the service was excellent. Kiddo and Mama loved the place and the food. It was homey and comfortable, easy to get to on the way through if you're passing by. Definitely recommend it.Kid-friendliness: Our waitress was so good with ours and our friends' little ones, it made the experience so much more enjoyable.

I ordered pan fried haddock with capers. It came with a nice medley of vegetables and probably the best mashed potatoes I’ve had in a while. The veggies weren’t the usual frozen carrot and pea medley which was a pleasant surprise as well. Full marks for the food but couldn’t give full credit as I found the price a bit steep.

We had our 25th wedding anniversary dinner at the Hilltop this week and were not disappointed! Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. The food came fairly quickly and it was phenomenal!!! We will definitely be coming back. You continue to live up to that great reputation, of serving the best steak in the city
