I usually only go to Fredericton once a year, and I make it an absolute MUST to go eat at Frank's Finer Diner! The atmosphere and design of the restaurant is beautiful in itself, the staff is amazing ( full of energy and hung out with us to chat, really fun time ! ) and the food- well don't get me started! I adore everything about Frank's, and frankly I do admit, I cried when first trying their pies and milkshakes. I... View all feedback.

Chicken burger on special. Dried up overcooked chicken. Tiny portion. Same size as a kids plate. Greasy food. Reminded why i never come here. Restaurant was empty at dinner hour. Should have been a hint. View all feedback.
We used to eat at franks about once a month but haven't been here in about a year now since having our son. I have to say today was a huge disappointment. Upon leaving my husband said "that poor place has gone downhill! First of all we stood in the doorway for almost 15 minutes before anyone spoke to us. We got seated and got our high chair. No complaints here- our waitress was polite and well mannered although seemed very over worked- that is the only reason they get 2 stars. She was the ONLY waitress we saw the entire time we were there until we walked out- then we did see a second waitress- but regardless she was run raged. She didn't stop running the entire time we waited and ate. While we sat and ate a couple came in and stood in the entryway for about 15 minutes and then just walked out. They need more staff there for a Thursday at 6pm. We ordered the quesadilla to start, I ordered the chicken finger platter and my husband ordered the fish and chips. The food took a while to come- over half an hour. The point of ordering a starter was to feed our baby who was hungry and cranky and then so we could eat our food after he had eaten. He was fussing and making quite a mess and we were all at wits end by the time the food came- and it all came together! So- I had to let my food get cold while I tried to feed the baby who was already upset. AND my chicken finger platter was actually just a sliced up breaded chicken breast with a few fries. I asked and she said they were out of chicken fingers so had to use a breast? Why not come and tell me so I can order something else? They charged me the same price but it was half as much meat as I usually get and only came with one sweet and sour sauce. I order the chicken fingers almost every time we come in. Very disappointed. The quesadilla was mostly cheese and tomato, and only the inner 1/2-2/3 of the quesadilla had filling and the rest was empty. One of the sliced had only a few tomatoes and some cheese in it. At least the fish was good- but we both agreed the fries were gross and VERY dark coloured. It looks as if they need to change their oil maybe? This dinner was hardly worth the $20 for the fish and chips. $55 wasted for our monthly dinner out. I honestly don't think we will be back.

This was the 3rd time in less than a month that we went to Frank's Finer Diner and this was the worse of all. The first time we ate there, was last winter, oh my god it was amazing. The 2nd & 3rd times as well. Then we didn't go back for almost 5 months and decided to reintroduce ourselves to what was once, home cooked goodness. The first time, a few weeks ago, the meals weren't too bad but they weren't up to par but that does happened. Next was a few weeks ago, and it was not good. Today was the 3rd strike. The waitress had no idea what customer service was, the grilled haddock was so overcooked it was like rubber, and for $18, there were 3 small thin pieces , covered with some sort of fake lemon pepper coating. There were no veggies (should have been) and the cole slaw left much to be desire. Sadly, I was starved, so I ate the fries( which were freshly cooked) and choked down the fish because of hunger. When I mentioned to the waitress about the veggies, she brought me this tasteless mush on a plate that was suppose to be green & yellow beans. Well, maybe in a previous life but today, it was more akin to pureed baby food. So that's it, Never ever again . Even Tim's serve a better meal!

I've been to Frank's Finer Diner many times. The food is actually good, but for a diner it's expensive. Two people and a couple of cheeseburger platters and a pop to wash it down, cont on at least $40. It's good, but not $20 plus the 15% tax per meal good. It's decorated with a rockabilly vintage feel so kids and men usually love it because of the classic car decor. The wait staff are always primo and the breakfast home fries are more like softish home made potato chips but the coffee is excellent. All in all it is a super clean diner with friendly staff and decent but typically expensive food.
