Captain D's - Fredericksburg

The Fredericksburg location senior days are Sunday/Wednesday. The dining areas are clean except for the water stained drop ceiling and dirty air vents. Place needs a renovation. Staff are attentive and bring condiments to your table with the order. The slaw, hush puppies, okra, green beans, and all the catfish/cod entree's are very good with the exception of the deviled crab which is mostly filler, and the tilapia that has no taste. Request extra cracklings with your fish no charge. Reasonable pricing for chain seafood. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undiscriptive terms like OMG, awesome, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food.

Prices are excellent, lunch special is a great value. Thankful to have delicious seafood right around the corner. Similar to Long John Silver's but better quality in my opinion. Great service, drive thru line moves quickly.

We got the family meal fish was clean and crispy. Shrimp was awesome. Deviled crab was on point. No complaints. Plenty of homemade tartar and cocktail sauce and they have the best packaged malt vinegar.$38 to feed us for dinner and lunch the next day uncomparable (4)

This Captain D's is the best. It's been here for a long time but never disappoints with the great food. I'm writing to mention the GREAT STAFF!. They can't be replaced and deserve the best. I moved from Fred to Richmond some time ago and coming back was welcome at Captain D's thanks to the crew (and the food! The place is busy and the staff will not let you down, wiping things off, disinfecting, bringing you anything you need. They pay better attention then many fancy restaurants! My only problem is I did not have any cash!! BRING CASH to tip these incredible people.

Very good fish. The spicy fish sandwich was especially delicious. The fries and hush puppies were forgettable, but I don't usually care about those anywhere else either. You'll have to try them yourself. They might be great and I just don't care for them. That fish though; that fish is some good eatin'.
