The museum was fantastic and really interesting, and the guided tour of the lighthouse was excellent. I unfortunately can't remember the name of the female guide, but she was outstanding. It was a great day out, especially with the beautiful weather. I highl... View all feedback.
This was a fun tour. We had a nice guide who filled us in on the history of the lighthouse built in 1787. And we got to go up into it, including seeing the mechanism that turns the prisms around the light. The lighthouse was built inside an abandoned castle!
Stunning representation of period style lighthouse still in fully functional order. Great views from on top of the lighthouse and also very interesting guided tour with a very enthusiastic guide who is very knowledgeable about his trade. A definite must see. Ensure you stop at the most North Eastern point of Scotland to see this.
If you are at all interested in Lighthouses and are ever in the area, this attraction is well worth the time to visit. Excellent historical tour by very knowledgeable staff. I enjoyed the experience, thoroughly
Awesome piece of history. Stevenson lighthouse built into a castle from an earlier time. Sad wee story of death and drowning can be found nearby. Well worth a look. Bit windy tho.
Excellent visitor experience with a magnificent view and thoughtful design. This charming little coffee shop offers delicious hot meals, making it a perfect spot to warm up on a chilly day.
