Viva Mexico Restaurant - FRASER LAKE

The restaurant has a great decor and an amazing party atmosphere with music, perfect for celebrating a birthday. However, we were disappointed to find that there was no Mariachi band, just a regular band that was underwhelming. The margaritas were watered down and didn't taste great, and the food was also lackluster. The corn tortillas were not fresh or flavorful, and it seemed like most of the food was pre-made and quickly thrown together. The prices were high for what we received, and overall, we cannot recommend this place for the food. However, the decor and atmosphere were impressive, earning a 9 out of 10. Birthday celebrations also received a 9 out of 10. Unfortunately, the drinks only scored a 1 out of 10. It's disappointing because with better food, this place could really shine. Vegetarian options were limited to peppers and mushrooms, showing a lack of creativity in the menu. There is potential for improvement, but they are not reaching it.

I went to this restaurant today and ordered a Horchata, but the waitress told me they didn't have it. However, when we received the bill, we saw they had charged us for the Horchata. I had to go back to get a refund. This made me wonder if this is their way of making extra money. Customers should be cautious.

Our experience at this restaurant was absolutely awful. The food lacked taste and seemed like everything had been reheated in a microwave. The rice was not fresh and overall nothing seemed to be fresh at all. We were shocked at the poor quality of the meal. I could have purchased better food from Costco and heated it up at home myself. We have no intention of returning to this restaurant, especially considering we live in Langley. Our visit was on June 3, 2022, at 5:30 pm.

The Fajitas for two was not worth the money. The chicken was NOT cut in strips like the website photos. But chopped mush like chicken. And was mostly peppers and onions. Not enough meat for the six tortilla wraps it came with. The toppings were a real joke. 2 tablespoons of sour cream, and 2 tablespoons of cheese to make six fajitas? We ordered two additional sides of sour cream and cheese. One tablespoon each was brought out. I’m a Mexican food lover this was the worst fajitas I have ever had. Will not be going back again!!! From the moment we sat down the experience was great,,,,staff,,,atmosphere,,,,,Spanish music,,,,,drinks,,,,food,,,,,all was amazing and thats what makes this place a must visit if you want a true Mexican experience in Canada,,,,we will definitely be back
