Instead of traditional rice, it includes small, chewy discs that lack flavor on their own but soak up the broth wonderfully. I actually preferred the tokk gook over the mandoo gook. My dad went for the spicy pork bulgogi, which is flavorful but doesn't carry much heat unless you specifically ask for it. This dish was definitely the highlight of our meal—the meat was perfectly cooked and rich in flavor, served with pickled daikon, which is my favorite! It's unfortunate that this restaurant hasn't gained the popularity its owners were hoping for, but I really hope more people discover it and it gets busier. If you're in Central Indiana, I urge other Yelpers to give this place a try!

The side dishes were fantastic, and the kimchi was outstanding. Haru is truly a wonderful addition to Frankton and Madison County.

The service was perfect, and both the host and chef were extremely kind. I will definitely return as often as my bank account allows, and it's not expensive at all. I absolutely love this place—it's truly a gem in the city of Frankton!
