Great food! Great service! Great time! I had the jalapeno burger, which was amazing. I also had a side of fried pickles which were delicious as well. My friends had the BBQ burger and sweet potato fries. Who knew apple butter went so well with fries? Expecetional combo! Ground definitely gained some ground with me! I will be back for more : View all feedback.
What Mark M doesn't like about Yessick's Design Center:
I had the BBQ burger and my wife had a chicken sandwich. The portion size of the fries was plentiful. For my hamburger I tasted more of the bun than I did of the burger. The two sandwiches, fountain drinks and two cookies totaled about $38 plus my 20% tip came out to about $46. It was overly expensive for what we received for lunch. View all feedback.
First time in. Had high hopes. Turkey burger was decent and good sized. After that all downhill. Fries which I read about as something to look forward to were really bad. I ate about 3 and threw the rest away. Apparently they were cooked way earlier and were old and stale. Also ordered a portobello spud, as I read they were good. It too was bad. Just bad. A few bites in and saw the spud was over cooked, mushrooms were okay, but overall it was a below average spud. So the silver lining is I can check it off the list of places I wanted to try. No need to return.
Our family was so excited to dine here for our family date night. We've just moved to town and were enticed by the amazing photos and creative menu item descriptions. We were quickly disappointed with each new discovery...our shoes sticking to the floor, FILTHY menus to make our dinner choices from, sticky tables, VERY sticky/greasy food baskets and employees wearing masks around their mouths but not their noses. The food was okay, but certainly not worth the price we paid. Sadly, we do not plan on making a second visit.
Their hamburgers are very very good. Picked this place out while visiting franklin based on previous reviews and they are dead on. Small place with indoor and outdoor seating and the burgers were great. I had the double black and bleu and it was very good and big! They give a lot of fries (and they seem to be hand cut fries) with every meal too so you won't leave hungry. My wife had a chili baked potato with minced jalapeños on it and she said it was spicy and delicious. Our kids had the kids cheeseburgers with fries and finished their burgers before I did which they normally don't. They also got a very generous portion of their delicious fries. We would definitely stop back in if back in this area!
I'm not going to say it wasn't good, but it wasn't very good if I'm being honest. It's in this random shopping center that doesn't even look like a real shopping center and I truly didn't even know it existed. I'm wondering if this is the second location too because it looked nothing like the business owner's pictures. The fried pickles were kind of cold, and the batter on them was way too thick and tasteless. The burgers themselves tasted odd I don't really know what it was about them but neither of us finished anything that we ordered. The fries were ok, but they were nothing special. I feel like nothing was really seasoned even though they have on their menu that the burger patties are seasoned. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the service was great and the woman taking our order was very, very nice and they made everything quickly. There is indoor and outdoor seating also.
I'm gonna have to update my update. With the pandemic, we've made efforts to avoid chains and support locals, which Ground fits. After the last round of Ground (see what I did there? the fam wasn't thrilled when I offered it up, but they went along with my ranting about good burgers, 2nd chances, and supporting locals. They got their usual order for take out, I threw a curve and went for the chicken tenders. The place was rocking when I got there. Not as in people were everywhere, but there was clearly a long list of people who wanted their Ground. The phone was buzzing and curbside delivery was busy. I waited, got my order, and drove home. When I opened the styro container, it was just like old times. Remember when you and your good friend from school hadn't seen each other in months, and then you saw each other out and you just clicked? It was like that. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside (like I am . Everyone's burger was done exactly as ordered and the toppings were on point. My tenders? Well, I'm glad you asked. They. Were. Delicious. These weren't those giant, 8 oz tenders each you get at some places, where you wonder how big the freakin' chicken was when it gave up the tender. Decent size. 6 of them. A meal. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. I was pleased. Thankfully, Ground is back in the rotation.
