I know this seems odd. I have had wonderful meals at the Tulip and the Rose before. My gripe is with their closing without notice and not using Open Table to let their reserved diners know. We arrived to find a handwritten sign on the door saying they were closed. No explanation offered. It's an hour drive for me. Abdullah was a fantastic host, and the food was delicious. I ordered the fish tacos, which were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Simply delicious!
The restaurant offers a fantastic variety of food, and the menu is constantly changing. I've been a regular for years. The owner was even thoughtful enough to prepare something for me when I was really hungry, despite them being closed for a while.

I absolutely loved this restaurant! I first heard about it from my wife, who saw a feature on it in a show on television. We dined in for brunch and it was a fantastic experience. The price per person was very reasonable, ranging from $10 to $20. I would rate the food a perfect 5, the service was also a 5, and the atmosphere earned a 5 as well. Highly recommended!
