Our experience... read more I decided to visit this restaurant because the menu looked unique, and there were plenty of available reservations in an otherwise bustling area. Our experience was quite mixed throughout our dining visit. The greeter and staff were very warm and friendly, and they promptly served our drinks. However, we started with the cornmeal-fried oysters, which were overcooked to the point of being nearly inedible—almost black and with a rubbery texture inside. I’m not sure how those passed through the kitchen. The sirloin steak was acceptable but also overcooked, although the accompanying potatoes were quite tasty. On a brighter note, the sweet tea pork loin was exceptional and perfectly cooked, and the gruyere grits that came with it were also excellent. In summary, while some dishes missed the mark, others were fantastic.
