For entree's we had Filet served with an egg, sides of mashed potatoes and broccolini and 5-Spice Duck with carrots and sweet potato; unfortunately I haveforgotten the name of the dessert but it was amazing.

The appetizer of potato c... read more Tonight was our first time to eat at 1892. We have been wanting to come here for some time, so we decided to come for our anniversary. The appetizer of potato croquettes was amazing. When ordering the entree, I asked the server to please ask if Icould get the side of truffle gnocchi instead of one of the sides from a certain entree. She explained to me that she wouldcheck, but it really depends if there is extra to have as a separate side. I decided that if she told me that it could only bewith the dish it was under, I would change my order. She never came back until delivered the duck with the cherries andmushrooms. The duck was way too salty, but cooked very well. The mushrooms almost made me sick, so I stopped eating. My husbandenjoyed his meal very much, so I did not say anything. I know how it is to be a server, and how it gets busy, but please tellthe customer the answer to their question before putting in the order. On another note, the atmosphere is wonderful.

The service was excellent and they were very nice and accommodating since I had my kids with me. We had a group of 30 and everything wentsmoothly and was absolutely fabulous.

S... read more I know many know this place and this was our first time. Drive was lovely to this quaint town. This is so Tennessee to me. Just walking up I loved this place. Small intimate location as you approach. Not many tables so y'all need reservations. Greeted with a great Old Fashioned and great drinks from the bar. We had the chicken flatbread with chicken and the risotto. Both were delicious especially if you love mushrooms. The plates were generous and the service was good. Great atmosphere and worth the drive. Great place for a date but probably less for a big party. Gem in Leipers Fork. Look forward to it next time.
