In my opinion, most interesting neighborhoods in the city (or I have to write new German quarters : ? a recommended Vietnamese restaurant. The courtesy, attentive service should be highlighted. The card can be seen it should be something for every taste. If I had gone, the beef salad should have been sharper and the duck with vegetables would have been a little spicy and not quite so cooked, but all in all: an enrich... View all feedback.
What Magdalena Macejkovic doesn't like about Sen:
I was stuck between 'average' & 'very good'. I ordered a typical Pho which has a superb flavored broth, but .... there wasn't much broth ! the portion of mixed meats was small and 50% were meatballs and there was no side of beansprouts and basil AS IS SERVED IN EVERY Vietnamese restaurant in the world !So all the little things let the restaurant down. It's clean, and service was good. From the outside the restaurant doesn’t look much appealing and, to be honest, the inside is pretty standard too. More a place where to have a quick bite than a restaurant where to spend couple of hours for a nice dinner. Atmosphere may not be particularly typical or fancy (standard modern furniture), but the place is clean and nice. Nonetheless, the food is quite good. You can find a mix of traditional Vietnamese dishes and more standards options with an ‘Asian’ flavour, which can make everyone happy. Portions are big.Considering quality and quantity, price is also very good. During lunch time, they also offer a Lunch Menu with very convenient prices (you can still order from the regular menu though, which is surely a plus). Service is ok, fast enough to allow people to stay in their one hour lunch break without problems.
I was looking for pho, the spicy Vietnamese noodle soup and chanced upon Lam. On the menu I saw a dish called Vietnamese goulash and was intrigued. Turned out to be a perfectly German goulash with some Asian twists -- veggies in the sauce, and rice instead of gnocci on the side. The owner swore that the goulash can be had in Vietnam as well and is perfectly authentic. I went back the next day and enjoyed more typical Vietnamese fare: spring rolls and roast duck with noodles. As a decade-long Vietnam scholar I can't vouch for the authenticity of the goulash (although I'll check it out later this year), but the food was excellent at a great price for central Frankfurt.
I ordered Bún Thịt Heo Nướng. Pork is not good, a little dried and it isnt right. Sauce is tasty. Khúc bạch is for my dessert. It is delicious not so sweet but Longan is sour. My friend ordered Phở Gà. It is good. Bún trộn with shrimp isnt good. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
