We discovered this great Italian restaurant on a Friday evening during a city trip to Frankfurt. We've had the menu (4 courses) which was absolutely awesome! Everything was made very fresh and tasty, the italian waiter was very helpfull and the wines were delicious. Our diner was so good that we decided to go back the day after :-) If I would live in Frankfurt this would definitely be my favorite Italian restaurant! View all feedback.
What Gisela Witt doesn't like about Dal Pescatore:
The food here is good: soups, pasta and main course were typically Italian. But keep a very close eye on the prices and the bill because they overcharge you with a smile. View all feedback.
Service is good, food nothing special and I was unhappily surprised by the cost.I had carpaccio which I believe was around €20 and a real tiny spaghetti of €12,50. My rib eye was €37!I will not go there again for sure as I feel ripped off.I sense they think they can charge extra due to the Trade shows there like the hotels. If so it would be decent to tell that to a customer upfront, especially if you do not have a menu.I will be in Frankfurt more often but will avoid this place for sure.
Doing a trade show and found this little restaurant.A bit unnerving when you don't see a menu or any prices and made to feel that you should accept their suggestions without knowing the cost.Food was tasty, had good service but just didn't like not knowing what you're spending especially when it turned out to be quite expensive.
The starter was excellent, the fish were excellent, and the wine was excellent. I can't praise it enough. Did I forget tomention, that the bread was also excellent?? I'm really coming back, as soon as I'm in Frankfurt next time
Our hotel concierge advised this restaurant. First we asked for the wine list and they asked white or red??? Strange but we said we prefer red then they brought us a one page wine list, all expensive wines. We asked for wine by the glass and they said they only have wine by the bottle! We were very surprised, we asked again and another waiter came and told us the same thing, no wine by the glass! Then we decided to leave and look for another restaurant, we asked the bill for the water we had, then they said they can serve wine by the glass and brought a half full bottle! We asked why at the beginning they said they didn't serve wine by the glass but no reply! They pretended that they didn't understand. Anyway we tasted the wine and it was terrible so we said we will leave, then they brought another bottle and told us it was a good wine. This was too much so we paid for the water and left. We had a wonderful dinner at Leon which is on the same street.
