Shangrila - Frankfurt am Main

It's a regular asian all you can eat place. The food is fairly average. there seems to be a wide selection but it's not so tasty and the dishes are very similar to one another. it has a wide selection of very asian foods for...Mongolian grill if you're into that but we didn't try it

On Saturdays you get all you can eat option for €8.80 and for that money, it's a really good value. However, don't expect some mind-blowing gourmet experience, it's basically buffet food. The best part for me was the option to select fresh ingredients and have them cooked for you.

The dinner buffet spread at this restaurant was simply very grand. They had a wide variety of choices from the Asian cuisine. The buffet costs just 14.80 Euros and is really a value for money option. There was a live counter as well. The price being so cheap, I was surprised that the ambience was also very good with good interior decoration. The only thing that I found lacking was the lack of english speaking staff, but we managed with some sign language and some common words :).

Visited on the recommendation it was the best buffet type restaurant in Frankfurt. The restaurant is situated at the top level of the grimmest shopping centre in Europe, although the restaurant pays for your parking in the parking bay below to ease the pain. There is a wide selection on offer (sushi, chinese, frites, etc) but the fruit salad needs attention. The thing that takes the edge off it was that the sauces are not good on the wok, all tasting cheap. Fine ingredients covered in cheap goo. Therefore, after spending 40 euro for two didn't feel satiated. I have been to other such restaurants around Europe that came across better. Service is non-engaging. Unless your a big eater on a budget you may leave feeling a little underwhelmed.
