All staff is Thai and you can taste that: wonderful Thai dishes in the middle of Frankfurt. Restaurant itself is not very spacious, it's rather like a takeout place. However, it's always busy and I am not surprised at all food is simply good! View all feedback.
What Yvette Ward doesn't like about Phuket Thai Imbiss:
We ordered food and received something totally different which ended up being more expensive than our initial offer. Instead of switching to what we originally ordered we needed to eat the wrongly ordered food and pay the increased amount. Such as bad service. The food...was only average. Wouldn’t go again. Great little restaurant, quite fast food, reasonable price, friendly staff and good food! Nothing more to add! Recommended pad Thai with shrimp!
We eat regularly in that small Thai takeaway. Do not expect this to be a restaurant with full service. This is a small takeaway with some tables inside and outside. You need to grab cutlery and get your drink out of the fridge. If you...are looking for this then go to one of the many overpriced Thai restaurants in Frankfurt. But if you are looking for a Thai style takeaway like the small cookshops in Thailand, this is the right place. They do have the regular stuff that Farangs(western people) know as Thai food. Fried rice or fried noodles and so on. But they also have a lot of real Thai food that I would strongly recommend. If you can not read the menu card for the real Thai food, as it is written in Thai. You can always ask the friendly personnel. This place is visited by a lot of Thai people and especially on the weekend it can be crowded. Usually, they will make the food not that spicy for Farangs, but you can ask to have it Thai style hot.
My Red Curry Crispy Duck was fantastic. I planned to eat light, but tasted so great I couldn't stop. I wish I would have taken a picture of my food. Place was very small, so I had to eat outside even though I was underdressed (my fault). I would absolutely eat hear again!
Was excited to see the reviews as wanted a nice Thai dinner after a day of meetings. Food was incredibly disappointing. The Tom Yum soup lacked all the sourness and spicyness of an authentic variety and the little spring rolls literally tasted of nothing. Beef with spring onions was ok - nothing special. A few little tables means people generally had to share. Frankly it might be cheap but it's also pretty bad. Service was also unfriendly. When I asked for a receipt on my way out I got a lecture about how I should have asked for it when I ordered. Maybe Frankfurt has terrible Thai food which is why people rave about this awful little place?
I´m eating here at least 2 or 3 times a week. Mostly #32, Shrimp Fried Rice. I love this dish and its done with fresh ingredients, scallions, onions, tomatoes, egg, and much more. It simply tastes very good and reminds me of my many trips to Bangkok. This place has a long tradition in Frankfurt and kept its quality for a VERY long time. Some Thai Places nearby seem to be best rated, but I won´t ever fall for them. Tried them and was very dissapointed. Almost seemed like canned food heated up with no taste left. But Phuket Thai impiss also has a great variety, and sometimes it takes a while untill they get your order, because they always use fresh ingredients and cook them right there and then when you order. That is the difference between this place and other Thai places.
