What User doesn't like about Eppstein:
Is located close by so decided to pop in for late dinner and drinks. Food prices were reasonable but service non-existent. Waited for about 20mins and no one showed up! Left, so can't comment on the food or drinks. View all feedback.
Great to be able to sit outside during lunch having one great „perversion“: salad, green sauce and slices of Wiener Schnitzel amazingly good. Nice service, ok prices.
Even in TO GO times the team of „EPPSTEIN“ creates perfect dishes such as salmon and Rösti, aspergus, Grünkohl- a lot of meals that are just delicious.
To go for lunch- just delicious If you want to enjoy classic food this is the the place. Food to go for lunch or dinner is really enjoyable. Typical Frankfurt food! Try the „hand cheese with music“!
The place is really different to most of the rather slightly snobbish places in Frankfurt westend. Simple rustic setting, simple and “no frills” food, just perfect to spend a nice evening. The frankfurter Schnitzel (basically a Schnitzel with the typical Frankfurt green sauce was excellent, the green sauce fresh and finger licking delicious. The dessert, “Kaiserschmarren” was perfect! Prices totally acceptable. Service nice and friendly. Relatively “older” people there (average 50 plus ...and I am still wondering what (or who that very attractive end-fifties year old lady was waiting for at the bar...(she seem to be waiting...
This is one of the more traditional restaurants in Frankfurts Westend. Not terribly remarkable, but friendly and with good local cooking. If you are looking for somewhere not too touristy to try local Apple Wine and Frankfurt 's famous Green Sauce (indeed a green sauce, made with seven traditional herbs and typically served with eggs and potatoes or a breaded Schnitzel) then this is the place to go. I often take foreign friends and business partners here. You can 't go wrong.
