Contribute FeedbackFrankfurt abounds with amazing little restaurants- some well established and many many much younger. Egenolff is one of those young establishments trying to find its feet in a residential area but in the heart of the Nordend. It has had a recent makeover and the atmosphere is quiet, comfortable yet chic. The menu is 'of the day' and you sense much thought has gone into it. We booked a table for six people and the solitary waitress served us well and efficiently. Between us we had Duck with tomato and orange, a very decent rump steak and three diners tried the grilled aubergine with humus- this proved to be very very popular, though my compliments to the chef the duck was wonderful. Great deserts and a good choice of beers and wines. As with many younger restaurants in Frankfurt this great establishment has not yet found a huge clientele- though popular with locals and it was quiet for a friday evening. This suited us perfectly and we enjoyed a wonderful meal in great surroundings and you didn't have to shout to make yourself heard. Standard price I guess- under 100 euro for six with wine beer and coffee. Their breakfasts look wonderful and there is a large garden to the rear for those lazy sunday mornings. Thoroughly recommended- thanks.
