We had breakfast, dinner and drinks at the same place and this place lives up to its demand and name. Loved the selection and range of breakfast. Dinner and drinks with music will make you loose track of time. Must visit place View all feedback.
What TheRealGelatoGirl doesn't like about Chez Ima:
The first table offered was a joke…just where everybody walks towards the toilet. The second one was nice. The “main” server was nice and attentive but the others. Tried to take the food and plates away before we were able to finish…and that not only once. It seems they are very worried to keep their 2 hours slots…but really??!? I’m any case. Food was good in general (but they brought the dish with red onions despite... View all feedback.
First visit to Bar Shuka was fabulous. Great creative menu with lots of humor. Don’t let the abrupt hostess put you off, our waitress was amazing and very helpful when it came to ordering. English menus are available so ask for them if required. Lots of middle eastern favorites and I hugely recommend the selection of dips (Zohan’s Favourites, and the breaded eggplant. We also had the salad with Mangos which was fresh and delicious. Many of their cocktails are using Lebanese Arak which is anise flavored (like ouzo or Sambucca . Try the Mule which is an updated version with arak, ginger beer lime ! So refreshing ! You need a reservation here. I was there around 7 and by the time I left it was packed and the volume was increasing. Great spot to meet with friends. Not really suitable for a business dinner due to the ambience and noise.
We went for breakfast. The service was fast and attentive. The drinks were nice and the food was original. I wouldn't rave about it as much as some of the reviews here do. It was maybe a little heavy for breakfast. But it was nice. Vegan options too. And handy for the 25hours hotel next door.
Having read bad reviews on this place I can understand what they are saying, however our experience was mixed but overall it was fantastic, however some people made it an amazing experience. We were staying at the 25hour hotel and decided to try and go for dinner here at 9pm and could only be offered a seat at the bar, which ended up being an absolute win. The restaurant was really busy and the service was pretty slow. After fumbling around the German menu and google translated it we got served drinks and they quickly changed to an English menu once they realised we didn't have a clue what we were ordering. The sous chef that was working in the area where we were sat was hypnotising, we LOVED watching him cook. He realised we were big foodies and started telling us about his career, where he was from, what he was cooking and gave us little samples. After this point I cannot fault the service of the staff, they were then very efficient after the intitial slow start. Now onto the food WOW, WOW, WOW. It was incredible, some of the best food we have eaten whilst on our travels. The flavours and combinations were just amazing. We wish we could come back here for the food. So bear with the slow service, because the food is totally worth the wait.
Essen maximal mittelmäßig; personell vollkommen unterbesetzt; man musste um neue Getränke betteln. Vollkommen überhypter Laden. Geht wo anders hin!
